What's for Dinner Tonight?

I like easy.  Super easy and fast.  If you like that too then this is the meal for you.
Sauteed Peppers and Sausage
Ingredients:

  • Italian Sausage (I use Johnsonville Sweet Sausage) Sliced
  • 1 red pepper (julienned)
  • 1 yellow pepper (julienned)
  • 1 green pepper (julienned)
  • small onion or 1/2 of a medium (julienned)
  • Splash of EVOO (extra virgin olive oil)

Throw your sliced sausage in a small pan over medium heat.  Turning every once in a while.

While you brown up your sausage.  Julienne your peppers and onion.  Remember to turn your sausage to brown it evenly.

Put a splash of EVOO in a larger pan and heat it up just a bit on medium heat.  Cover.  Turn the peppers a little bit.  Saute the peppers a bit, but allow them to have just a bit of crunch left in them.

Add your sausage from the other pan to the larger pan and toss in with the peppers.  Walla you are done!
I serve this meal over rice or Quinoa.  MMM Good.  I think next time I will add some water chestnuts.

What's for dinner tonight at your house?

  1. Yummo! Can I come over for dinner! Those veggies would be amazing with just about any meat! Well, we love Quinoa too!
Tonight will be out for dinner for a going away party, tomorrow out for Sushi at our Favorite place in INDY! WASABI! If you like sushi you need to try it out! Miss you girl! Wish we would be able to stop by after dinner tomorrow night but we will be with some friends and will have to get home to relieve the babysitter.

  2. Of course you can come over! I just added a piece to the recipe. I think next I will add some water chestnuts. :-)
I hope you have a great time at Wasabi! I am not a big fan of sushi. I have heard too many stories from my hubby's time at the fish plant in Alaska. :-P
