Shopping

Buying something on sale is a very special feeling.  In fact, the less I pay for something, the more it is worth to me.  I have a dress that I paid so little for that I am afraid to wear it.  I could spill something on it, and then how would I replace it for that amount of money?

I went shopping today.  My hubby and I decided that we needed to get organized in the office.  We own our own custom remodel and repair business.  And we are trying to stay organized.  My hubby can start organized, but the papers quickly it get out of hand.  "Honey I'm going shopping," that is what I told him this morning.
This time I went in with the attitude that I don't have to rush, I can take my time.  Kids are fed.  Everyone is rested.  This is going to be good.  "I will be cordial to people who stop me and ask questions."
I went to Office Max first to find an organizer.  Score!  Then I went to Wally World to grab little odds and ends, and to return an item.  Of course, first stop.  Walmart greeter.  Didn't get past her for at least 5 minutes.  Her name tag literally read "Mrs. Bubbles".  Of course it didn't help that my son is a talker.  Then it was to the customer service desk.  More questions there.  Then 3 long conversations spread out through the store.  Each of the stops were by very nice ladies.  They complimented my family and me.  And always with the last comment, "You've got your hands full."  And I always comment back.  "Yes I do."

One of the reasons I go to the Super Walmart is because they have the carts with the extra seats on the back.  Check out our brood...

Yes, shopping took extra, extra long today and I have a headache (that could also be from my tooth that is giving me issues.  Dentist tomorrow, Yippee.), but I got what I needed and some compliments along the way.   Whew.

Check out my earlier post Out and About.

  1. I need to read your posts every time I think I am going to lose my mind with the two that I have and be reminded that I could have twins! you need to read the newest post by Courageous Homekeeping. She talks about the things people say to her about having multiples.

  2. I think in whatever situation you are in, it could be overwhelming. With twins we just have a chorus of crying instead of a solo. :-) I'm heading over to Courageous right now! Hope you are doing well!
