Today, my son decided that it was time to bust out his
PeaPod Tent. He told me that he would like to lay inside the tent to
watch his morning cartoons. So I entertained the idea.
He set it up all by himself along with his barrage of blankets and stuffed animals. He asked if, "his girls could watch cartoons with him in his movie theatre." I told him I thought that was very thoughtful to invite "his girls", but didn't think it was the best idea. He went on the rest of the morning watching his cartoons from inside his tent.

As I have been thinking about what to write today, I have felt a lot of pressure. I felt that it needed to be profound or really insightful into my life.
I mean come on. It is my second post. Get it together. :-) I have so many thoughts running through my head. I literally had to write some things down so that I wouldn't forget them. But for today, I feel like I am setting up camp. I like to camp. I have so many memories of camping when I was younger. So I am walking around to find the best spot for me. Taking in all the terrain, the surroundings, the landscape. Taking my time, I lay out my tent with stakes, poles, and rain fly. I am putting up my tent to make my temporary home here. To see and hear what kind of adventure is all around me.
Will you go camping with me?
P.S. I was so excited, this morning, to see all of the comments on my first post. Thank you! I hope that you continue to follow me! I love to read your comments. My hope is to reply if you commented. So look back often!
I miss seeing that tent at my house! I love you!!
ReplyDeleteLove you!!!
ReplyDeleteI am super impressed with you posting twice in two days! With three kiddos! I can relate to feeling pressure to post and what to write...I feel like that often. Sometimes I have several draft posts going until I feel ready to post. And I feel like some of my posts deal with simple everyday stuff, and others dig in and get to the heart of things. I guess that's just the nature of life...I hope you're enjoying taking the lay of the land here and figuring out where this journey will take you! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Kendra! The idea of the drafts posts is great! I believe I will be using that one. ;-) I know 2 blogs (a 3rd coming shortly) in a row. So far I am on a roll and I hope that I can keep it up. I feel like I have so much bottled up in me right now that I need to get it out. I have enjoyed reading your blog!!
ReplyDeleteSelena its amazing u find the time to do everything u do! Momma is watching and is sooo proud! Love U all! Kiss Merek, Ava and Sophia for Aunt Peg!
ReplyDeleteThank you Peg. I hope you come back often to see how things are going.
ReplyDeleteYou know, I never thought I would be a camper, but Drew and I have really gotten into it. His family was big campers growing up. We've been doing it a lot these last few years and loving it!
ReplyDeleteSo the same day that I wrote the camping post Oprah had her big camping trip to Yosemite on T.V. I was cracking up the whole time. Camping is a completely different experience. Depending on what type of camping you are doing and where you are doing it at, you can have so many different adventures. Thanks for posting Amy!
