My sister in law recently reminded me of Cookie Monster from Sesame Street. Cookie Monster loves all things cookies, but he also loves cuppy cakes.
I have been on a cupcake kick lately. I made Spiderman cupcakes for my son's 4 birthday party. I also made green sprinkled cupcakes for St. Patty's Day. And I must say, I love them. I can't seem to stop at just one. I have been using the Betty Crocker Super Moist White Cake mix with Betty Crocker Rich & Creamy Vanilla Frosting. It really isn't anything special. But I just love it. So I have come up with reasons to love cupcakes
Reasons to love CUPCAKES
- One box makes at least 25 cupcakes!
- It is super easy to make. One box of mix, oil, water, 3 eggs, frosting
- So easy to share with neighbors and friends
- Super tasty
- Can be made for any themed occasion or just because
- A very intoxicating smell permeates your house when baking them
- If you can stop at one, it has to be less calories. (than a big cake) It just has to be, right?
- There are books out there on cupcakes
- There is an art to swirling on the frosting
- Your kids will love you for making them! And your hubby too...and anyone else within smelling distance.
My sister in law has a book on cup cakes on a stick...AKA Cake Balls.

Super-d-duper cute cupcake pops from Bakerella |
CAKE BALLS! How can you not love something called a Cake Ball. The photo makes me want to snarf an entire batch...or make them for the next birthday party...Bakerella. Love it. Gotta have it. I'll try a recipe and fail, but I won't care because the pictures are so pretty. I'm so NOT a baker. Why is that some people can cook up a storm but are horrible at baking?
ReplyDeleteI know! Cake Balls! I have no idea why one would be better at either cooking or baking, but not both. You read recipes the same. hmmm. You are not along though!!!
ReplyDeleteI love these, I have been seeing them everywhere, maybe they are the new cupcake.
ReplyDeleteI think I am going to make them to bring to school for my daughters birthday.
